The IA-MOOC, a training course designed to promote school inclusion and foster digital transformation is Completed and Opened for pilot.

The 14-unit MOOC course of the IA-ME project was completed at the end of December 2024. Its self-study modules are designed to provide experience-based knowledge for all non-SEN teachers to provide the best possible learning opportunities for pupils with special learning needs in their daily teaching practice, matching their abilities. The training materials are available in 6 languages on the IA-ME project portal: IA-ME MOOC

The MOOC courses cover the following topics

MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION TO SEN EDUCATION AND APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES

  • UNIT 1: Special Education Needs Education
  • UNIT 2: The IA-CREATE web application

MODULE 2: MENTAL DISABILITIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE

  • UNIT 1: Pedagogical framework for individuals with mental disabilities
  • UNIT 2:  Learning technologies for individuals with mental disabilities

MODULE 3: EDUCATION NEEDS OF THE TEACHERS

  • UNIT 1: The basic knowledge needs of mainstream teachers about Special education Needs focused on inclusive education.
  • UNIT 2: Learning needs of specialist knowledge and experiences sharing network – the CoP

MODULE 4: CREATIVITY, EDUCATION, AND SEN INCLUSION IN NON-FORMAL CONTEXTS THROUGH CODING AND EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS

  • UNIT 1: Inclusion in non-formal educational context through coding and robotics
  • UNIT 2: Creativity through coding and robotics (tips and tricks)

MODULE 5: SEN IN FORMAL CONTEXTS AND INCLUSION ASPECTS

  • UNIT 1: SEN in formal context and inclusion aspects
  • UNIT 2: SEN inclusion practices

MODULE 6: TECHNOLOGY ENHANCED LEARNING

  • UNIT 1: The three forms of extended reality
  • UNIT 2: Learning technologies for individuals with special educational needs

MODULE 7: PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS OF VULNERABLE GROUPS

  • UNIT 1: Vulnerable groups
  • UNIT 2: Action plans for the psychological needs of vulnerable groups
